It's challenging but achievable for fit trekkers. The main risk is altitude (5,416m) and weather. Proper acclimatization and an early start are essential.
Can I do the circuit counter-clockwise?
Counter-clockwise is recommended for better acclimatization. The climb to Thorong La is gentler this way.
Is the road construction ruining the trek?
Some sections have road construction, but the higher sections remain untouched. The remote Manang and Mustang sections are still pristine.
