The Wonderland Trail circumnavigates Mount Rainier — the most heavily glaciated peak in the contiguous US — through wildflower meadows, old-growth forests, and stunning river valleys. Longmire to Kautz Creek

Climb through meadows to Golden Lakes with stunning Rainier reflections. Cross Kautz Creek.

Golden Lakes to Mowich Lake

6,400 ft → 5,400 ft6-7 hours

Descend through meadows to Mowich Lake. Glacial views and wildflowers.

Mowich Lake to Carbon River

Descend through forest to Carbon River. Cross the river and camp in old-growth forest.
