Overview
Cascade Canyon is Grand Teton's signature hike — a stunning glacial valley framed by the towering Cathedral Group of the Tetons. The trail follows Cascade Creek through old-growth forest to the divide at Lake Solitude, passing Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point along the way. The Teton Range rises abruptly from the valley floor, creating one of the most dramatic mountain panoramas in North America.

Itinerary
Jenny Lake to Lake Solitude via Cascade Canyon
Start at Jenny Lake. Take the shuttle boat across (optional). Climb past Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point. Continue up Cascade Canyon to Lake Solitude. Return same way.
Safety Information
Bear country — carry bear spray. Canoes available across Jenny Lake to shorten hike. Altitude at Lake Solitude can cause mild symptoms.
